Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer

Summary

I support the operational safety of a satellite constellation — from pre-launch readiness through launch, ascent, and constellation operations — in a time-critical environment. I own pre-launch readiness for my team and support real-time operational decisions informed by conjunction assessment and risk analysis, alongside flight and propulsion teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Pre-Launch Readiness (Primary Owner) — Own the documentation, procedures, and status reporting used to coordinate and execute pre-launch readiness for the team.
• Real-Time Risk Assessment — Monitor constellation health and safety in real time; support operational decisions informed by conjunction assessment and risk analysis.
• Orbital & Constellation Operations — Support orbital maneuvers, station-keeping, trajectory planning, constellation alignment, and end-of-life disposal.
• Cross-Team Coordination — Work with flight, propulsion, and other teams to evaluate situations and determine the right response.
• Leadership Communication — Translate technical readiness and status into clear updates for leadership.
